Another odd looking number and so I let it go to voice mail... "they" hung-up, no message left. Checked this site (almost a daily exercise now !)... blocked the number.

Caller hangs up after I answer. I get this about once a month, same number. I suspect it's a telemarketing tactic where they call ahead with a machine to find out which numbers have people answering. About a day after I get one of these, I get a telemarketer, mostly selling electricity. They all start off the same "we are calling regarding your electricity bill and would like to make you aware of new dicsount rates etc." but this is a trick to get me to change electricity provider. I always tell them I burn my own coal and have an extension cable plugged directly into the coal so I don't pay for electricity which confuses them greatly.

I answer the phone, a lady said 'Hello' then hangs up. Every since i moved my number to KOGAN MOBILE i get about average 2 anonymous call a day, even on weekends. I don't understand why we can't have a law to stop these people from harassing us? Just block them!

This number keeps calling every day, I let the call go thru then ring back , get message this number is not available at this time. very SUSPICOUS have now blocked the number seems like another spam call??

Multiple calls to my mobile, but once I answered, it disconnected. On once occasion, I called back, but the message was that "Telstra advised" this number "has been disconnected". I am indeed unsure if there is a person behind the other end, and also unsure what these scammers are trying to get. My last question: how this disconnected number is allowed to get into the Australian telecommunication network and how a number is still assigned and displayed on my end????

Spam caller!!! Answered the call and no one on the other end. Must be a phishing for phone numbers. BLOCK!!!

Identified himself as a real estate agent, knew my address and name.

I'm at the sage where I don't answer any calls from numbers I don't know now, this number called me twice today but I let it ring. No voicemail left, will block now.

If I answer, I say "Arpka narm kya hi" which means "What's your name" in Hindi. If they answer in Hindi (which you may not understand), I say "Habla usted espaniol" which means do you understand Spanish". They then disconnect. Pity. If they said anything further, I would have given a quote from a traveller's book of useful phrases "Guard stop the train, my grandmother's ear trumpet has been struck by lightning"!
