Person claimed to be calling from some institution to do trading. Attempted to obtain bank details and personal information. Just hang up. This is a scam

Hang up as soon as I answered

call and hang up ... I blocked the number

I ignored this call (did not answer) - don't know anyone in VIC who would call me, especially not on New Years Eve! NO message was left. Like all the others here, I assume this was spam or a prank call.

A woman claiming to be from some financial institution asked me how I was enjoying the email they sent me last month. I received no such email I gather this was a phishing attempt to get my details. I couldn't understand her properly as the line was not clear. I hanged up and blocked.

He asked me how I was and went straight into his spiel about financial something. I tried to tell him to delete my number but he did not understand. Scam

I answered the phone and a foreign sounding male said "am I talking to Anneee" - I knew from that moment that he was a marketing call at the very least. When Asian people ring me that is how they pronounce my name - my name is Anne but they pronounce the E on the end. He proceeded to tell me he was calling from somewhere or other and I asked him to repeat it but I couldn't understand him or hear him so I told him "I can't understand you" and I hung up. Now checking the number on this service I see it was a scam so will block the number.

I answered and some lady said her name which I didn’t understand and that she was calling from SOI and I ask what SOI was and all I heard was something something institute because she wasn’t speaking very clearly and when I said sorry where are you calling from again she hung up. I’d say definitely trying to scam

Say from some leading Institute ask how they got my number and they said I have many websites that include Netflix etc and got my detail from there when I tried to ask more question he got upset and when I mention in Australia I’m on the do not call register and then he hung up

Called but I didn’t pick up as did not recognise number. Obviously spam!

"Hello, I am from mumble/mumble..., how are you today..." The usual cold call sell/scam opening line these days.
Had my first name and hinted to be UK based.
