Missed call from this number, no voicemail left. Number is very similar to other spam numbers reported here, just last digit different.

Let my toddler answer this call and they both just went back and forth saying hello for almost a minute before they hung up. Clearly not an important call

I am so thoroughly sick of the countless lowlife scammers butting into my life. I can't block every single number, and in any case they call from different (spoofed) numbers in a block of them. Please do what so many people are now doing and stop answering calls from unknown numbers, otherwise this plague is never going to stop. It's very simple: just don't answer, ever. Obviously a legitimate caller will leave a message.

Caller: A New Australian accent scammer Person with New Australian accent. I made a cultural reference about him. He then started with some jibberish angry rant. He sounded like an excited chook rolling down the stairs then hung up

I never answer - advisable for everyone - but picked up the phone to shut it up because it was right next to me. I did listen but of course the scamming scumsuckers never speak, simply hanging up after they've butted into your life uninvited. I've had a call from this number before, so this time I'm blocking it even though that entails unblocking another number used by this plague of lowlifes. (People, we know that this is industrial scale, international criminal activity. To suggest that it may be illegal, for instance, is, shall we say, pointless. Of course it is.)

These scammers rang around 8pm. ISNT THAT ILLEGAL??? I’m in Melbourne. Rang a few rings. My elderly mum answered. They said “Hello..this is blah blah..” My mum has been on the receiving end of scammers a millions times in recent years so she knows a scammer when she hears them. She hung up! Now I’m reporting the number.

Answered and said hello ... silence.
Then an automated voice "goodbye", then they hung up.
Obviously a scammer from a Melbourne landline

Caller: Said his name is Steve 2nd time this number has called and both times starts with Hi I'm Steve, but it is a recording, I've never got beyond the "is anyone there" when I've not answered. In the hope that the call records as well as plays I say a few appropriate words before hanging up. Just so over these time wasting losers.

Also got missed call. I just save their number into my phone book as: Junk - Don't Answer Then next time if I ever get a call from them, I know it's junk, I answer, and then toy with them ... just start asking if they like pumpkin ... if they do, I ask if they like it raw, baked or steamed. They usually hang up. If they say they don't like pumpkin, then I just say that I can only talk to people that like pumpkin. Try it - makes me laugh every time.
As for actually booking someone to come (someone's reply on here), DON'T EVER DO THAT. You are just opening yourself up to a bigger scam, so just don't do it !
