Caller: Robo call
I just called Busienss Victoria after receiving a call from (03) 9068 3488
They have confirmed that this is actually them calling business to ensure busienss have a COVID Safe Plan in place, now that restrictions are easing and business are opening up.
Hope that helps.
Small business Vic regarding restrictions easing. computerized message and then asked if I could hear him. I know in the past they tell you not to say ' yes ' to these recorded messages. I am assuming its a scam and am sure a real person would call from small business vic.
Caller: Some Machine Seducing Me
I was enchanted by its alluring voice and whispered to the caller that I have enough toilet paper for doomsday, and thanked the caller for being concern about my welfare. I never hear from it since then, that one phone stand scammer!
I called Business Victoria and they said that this is NOT a number connected with them. Do not answer!!! I've been getting the same calls, both times I ignored then got sent automated messages. I DO NOT OWN A BUSINESS AND I do not live in Victoria anymore. Massive scam, and yes there has bedn circling on social mefia svammers who ask certain wuestions so you answer what they need. They take your voice recording and use it. DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. Block and report. I love my smart phone
I didn't answer, it left a voice message.
"... something about stopping the spread of coronavirus.. before we start can your hear me alright?"
IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY ANSWER THIS CALL DO NOT RESPOND WITH "YES"
Caller: Bailey - robo call
Supposedly from Business Victoria and calling in relation to Covid-19 in waste water in Benalla and Portland and our Covid plan. So initially sounded genuine as I live in one of those locations. Hung up after first ‘yes’ (and yes, I wasn’t paying attention - stupid!). I have had no response from Business Victoria. Have now blocked the number.
Recorded call from this number stating they are state government checking for covid safety plan. sounds like a scam Caller: Robot named Bailey
Has called me twice today. Claims it’s from the government & asks “can you hear me”. Not trusting this one
They say its from the covid line not recognised by the hotline as their number What's wrong in saying 'yes'? I said it. So far still alive. Caller: Bailey Business Victoria Robo Call
I got this call as well and also called Business Victoria on their number 13 22 15 to check if it was from them.
The told me it was and that 'Bailey' is their Robo Voice/Caller.
So don't be alarmed if you have taken this call.
It is actually from Business Victoria.
I told them I would also post on the message boards to note this for them - they were very appreciative of this.
I voiced my concern so they understand it's not great having people answer 'Yes' and 'No' on a robo call.
Stay safe everyone.
This number has been calling me non stop on weekdays and weekends. I do not own a business and not in Victoria. Thus this call is irrelevant to me. Where did they get the number from and what is the purpose? They are targettiing the wrong people and I will complain to the police. Caller: (03) 9068 3488 is a SCAM
Do not answer as they are using voice recordings to do identify theft.
This is a very serious and high tech scam.
Treat as a scam. I don't have a business but used to but I have had 3 different numbers since then so there is no way this can be related to my old business. If it were the govt calling ( and they do use robo calls sometimes) they would leave a number to call back on. In addition to that they would mail you details if it were that important. Treat as a scam and if they really want to check your covid plan I am sure they will visit. Generally I have found if the call starts with a 90 number it is spam Caller: (03) 9068 3488
It is indeed business Victoria doing these robocalls. A quick google search of “(03) 9068 3488 business Victoria” will show you that this is not a scam. It’s just been slammed in the media for being lazy and sloppy. It’s legit and not a scam.
Caller: Business Victoria
This number called me twice today. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon and I have now blocked the above phone number.
Caller: Robo call - (03) 9068 3488
I just rang Business Victoria. Apparently this is a genuine call - not a scam. If you have applied for a Business Victoria Grant in the past you will probably get this automated robo call where 'Bailey' asks 'can you hear me' and then goes on to remind you to have a COVID safe business plan in place. When the call started it gave my full name (including my middle name) which I never use except on official government forms.
Certainly sounded 'suss' - which is why I then rang Business Victoria to check. I am still kicking myself that I actually replied 'yes' to a machine when it could so easily have been a scam. Just lucky this time.
Has to be a scam. It spelt out my name with + between words. Then asked "can you hear me ok?" I didn't answer because I know that's how they record you saying yes and use it for other purposes.
Called saying he was Bailey from small business Vic then went on to ask can you hear me .
Hung up once i heard that.
