Hangs up when answers, busy signal when calling back. Wish these scam calls would ping off

Caller: Australian Energy Regulator

Apparently representing the Australian Energy Regulator and asking for pensioner card details. Phishing/scammer call. HANG UP and BLOCK.

Five times yesterday. Waste of everyone time. Perhaps the telcos can start to do something as the are obviously VOIP calls using fake numbers.

Obviously a scam. Please block!

Lady said they were an energy company and they offered better deals etc etc. I asked for more details and she said they are an energy comparison company. Not very easy to understand her. Basically calling anyone they can that will answer!

Caller: paypal

They left message saying Paypal has deducted certain amount from my account. I called them back, a man with certain accent (not being racist, but certainly you will know which country he's from) answered saying he is from PayPal Australia but his english was very poor.

Person claiming to be from Vic Govt retail energy company, who said that I had qualified for free door draft stopppers as part of scheme, and wanting to know what time next Wednesday these could be installed

Call me multiple times and completely silenced when I answered. Block!

same number called me , didn't leave any message.

Rings twice a day and hanns up when answered

Called and just kept saying he'll with a buzzing or static sound quality, sounded Indian

Hangs up upon answering when we state business name

Didn't pick it up as it's a Melbourne number and we are a service based business in Brisbane. Thanks everyone for the info. Glad I did not pick it up.
