Claimed to be from "accident verification department". told me they were calling about my recent accident. when I asked them what company they worked for they just kept repeating "accident verification department" then hung up.

Called me. i did not answer. Had a voicemail. Saying, Hello?, Hello? in a rude voice. When the number came up on my phone it said 'Melbourne' when i have never contacted anyone or don't know anyone from Melbourne.

Just had a call from the same number. Originally thought it was real as I did have a little accident a while ago, and after exchanging the details I never heard anything so assumed the driver didn't peruse it. But when I asked this guys about the details he kept saying not allowed to tell me and kept contradicting himself so tI looked up the number and saw all the comments! definitely a scam!

I had two phone calls today from the RAA Accident section, that came via my Viber app claiming that I had a car accident, I asked them, when and where as I knew it was a scam. I told them I don't have a car as I catch a bus. They then asked if i had a friend or family member that knew about this non existent an accident. I said what would a person who has nothing to do about a fake accident. I told them to stop bothering me and get a real job. I was then told that I was a bucket of sh*t and they hung up

Called today claiming I was in an accident 3 months ago and needed my details so they can send me a compo claim. When I asked for the accident details, rego number etc they got annoyed and hung up.

Same as the other comments - claimed I had reversed into someone and they were wanting to confirm my details (knew my name). When I explained I didn't understand what they were ringing for as we had no accident they hung up.
