Caller: Scammer

Same number rang twice today.
Said they were from Telstra NBN. I asked which was it Telstra or NBN. they didn’t get it.
Tired to tell me that our internet speed was really slow and I was to log onto the internet to do a speed test. (Which I did not)
They then asked what speed I was getting, 20mbps DL &1.5mbps UL I said. (Lie) That’s good for us I said (the computer wasn’t even on)
He then said that was really slow and would disconnect our internet and hung up.
Seems to still be working fine, maybe he forgot to pull the plug.

This number rings every day and doesn't leave a message. I got mad today and blew a whistle in their ear and they rang back for a second helping.

Called 3 times in a 6 hour period, called again today, pick up phone and the caller hangs up.

Idiot but hoax!! Called me a liar!

Same NBN caller wanting to check my NBN speed. Hung up.

Missed a call. Rang them back - “Hi, this is the Australian Federal Police department…” Lol. Hung up.

They have today phoned advising they are calling from the ATO and that they have issued a warrant for arrest. The tax filing was marked incorrect and and the letter from returned from the registered address. DO NOT Press 1.

Caller: Indian sounding man

Wants to help me with my working NBN. Says he can adjust my modem and my computer. Hang up on him. Another would be scammer if you let him.

This is a definite scam. Unfortunately I fell for it because we were having problems with the internet.
They got me to run a speed test etc got me to check the TV and that is when they hacked me through a program they got me to open called "anydesk".
I was lucky they got nothing.
They said they were TELSTRA and NBN.

Surely this number can be traced by Telstra ?

Called re internet saying suspicious activity detected but when you say no internet they just hang up.

They are parasites hoping to scam you beware

Caller: Shirley

Shirley told me today, that she was from Telstra NBN and was calling about my internet. Before I could respond, she asked how I was today. I told her I was feeling very skeptical as I did not believe her as to where she was from. She hung up, how rude (hahaha)! Thanks to others who have commented, she has rung back 4 times today but won't speak and hangs up when I do. Might get the kids to answer next time.

Phones numerous times in a day & hangs up as soon as the call is answered. Very annoying

Laughable - telling me to check my download speed and telling me it should be 70-80 hahahaaaa. I hung up on them and reported it to Telstra. They need to get rid of these annoying people wasting our time!

Scam message as others have described. When they don't answer straight away I know it is a scam so I don't hang up for several minutes. Real pest. The (03) number give them away.

I had this number call. Ignored it as I don't answer unknown numbers. Why the hell can't our government put a stop to these hoaxers/scammers?
