Missed call from (03) 9018 7192. Voicemail from (03) 9018 6584 with pre recorded message of poor sound quality - phrases like "ATO tax avoidance... paperwork sent to registered address returned unsigned and undelivered....warrant for arrest" etc. Gibberish!

Don’t be fooled this is a really bad attempt at scamming. I kept calling them back and abusing them until they blocked me. Won’t be calling me back in a hurry.

ATO scammer. Claiming I'm being audited and file has been flagged for tax 'avoidisation' and I need to pay money to avoid legal action being lodged.

telling people they are going to be arrested for owing money and that they need to give them TFN so they can get the information.

Do not give any details to these scumbags! Claiming to be Australian Tax Office and they request your name, address and TFN. I called them back as the number wasn't private as per usual ATO call and a lady answered saying she was from the Australian Tax Department. Theres no ATD so I gave her a mouthful until she hung up! Do not give any details to these scumbags - (03) 9018 6584. Good luck!!

When I picked up there was no answer and then they hung up.

When I call back an indian accent said "hello this is the Australian ATO services how can I help you"
