i just had this happen to me asking me to access my computer , they said they were from microsoft in the end they were saying my security had run out in my microsoft system wanted me to pay for this .cold call me on a public holiday from melbourne so they claim !!!!!

I got a call from a person with Indian accent calling himself Ken Smith from Microsoft stating that my computer was infected . He stated that spyware was taking over my computer and was going to infect all the computers conneted to my network. I did not believe him and ask for his number where I can call . He gave me (03) 9018 5786 address Soth Victcoria , Melbourne near Albert park . He was definitely not calling from Melbourne as I got hear local Hindi language spoken in the background .
Please get this number (03) 9018 5786 checked out immediately before they get to some innocent person who will be requested to visit a web site with a secret tollay protected password and open his computer to them and get all secured information from your computer and network .

Got phone call to home landline, girl with Indian accent speaking very fast, voice crackly, indistinct so very hard to understand. Said was calling from Microsoft in Melbourne because my computer was generating a lot of errors indicating infected with spyware and in danger of crashing or letting others get into it to steal important info, and she wanted to help me, as she worked for Microsoft. Told me to go to validator.w3.org, enter my email address and click Check. When a lot of errors & warnings appeared, which I told her, she said "Oh no, looks very bad!" I kept saying I couldn't hear her properly or understand so eventually she handed me to he "supervisor", a man with an American accent who said he was Jack. I said I had to go - as I wanted to ring my ISP and ask what this was about, which I didn't tell him - so he said he would ring back in 20 mniutes. I asked for his number which he gave as (03) 9018 5786
