Email received stating suspicious EBAY purchase (#ELAIE4DS) received 06/12/2022 at 9:48 am (perth time)

Phoned the supplied number for giggles (03) 9016 9414

They then proceeded to ask me to log in to my EBAY account, to check for fraudulent purchases, which I obviously couldn't see, they then said OH NO!!!!!! the scammers have access to your ebay and are deleting the info.

They then wanted me to download a program so they could fix my IP
If you got time to play with them lol ;-)

Similar to other posts with this phone number on a scam email. This time it was supposedly from Amazon (not eBAY) with a sham purchase for AVAST antivirus. Again, at the bottom it said to call this number if I did not make this purchase.

I received email purporting an amazon account fraud for anti virus software. number to call (03) 9016 9414

I got a badly worded email 'reporting' that my amazon account had been debited $440 or so for Avast Antivirus. Told me to do nothing if it's a legit purchase, call this number if it's not. I don't have an amazon account

Similar to above comments but instead of ebay mine was supposedly from Amazon.
