Caller: Indian Scammers - "Telstra Tech Support" Scam call Thu 15 Dec 2022 afternoon Cold called by 1st scammer - man with Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra Tech Support Claimed there was a problem with my internet Caller ID on my phone did not seem to catch full number from where 1st scammer called from (08) 6149 9825 First digits of phone number 1st scammer called from - looks like international number
Insisted 1st scammer give me his phone number as I wanted to confirm where he was calling from 1st scammer told me his number was landline (03) 9016 9242 Keeping the 1st scammer on the landline, rung the 2nd number 03 9016 9242 with my mobile phone 1st scammer had claimed landline 03 9016 9242 was Telstra tech support It was answered unprofessionally by a man with Indian accent who just said "Hello" and didn't identify himself or his business With 1st scammer holding on landline, I spoke to 2nd scammer 03 9016 9242 on my mobile and asked what the name of his business was - he's supposed to be Telstra Tech Support The 2nd scammer refused to answer the question and asked why I wanted to know who he was and what his business name was I told the 2nd scammer his landline number was given to me for a reason (by the 1st scammer) The 2nd scammer was completely clueless about why I'd called 2nd scammer repeatedly refused to answer my repeated simple question which was "What is your business name?" Put mobile next to my landline speaker so 1st scammer could hear 2nd scammer had nothing to do with Telstra tech support as he claimed Ranted at 2nd scammer for refusing to identify his business with 1st scammer still on landline Eventually 1st scammer, then 2nd scammer hung up on me. Landline number of 2nd scammer is legitimate because scammer 2 answered 03 9016 9242 when I called back Demanded to know why he hung up on me Demanded to know what the name of his business was He swore at me I swore back and promised to report his phone number 03 9016 9242 to ACMA Spam Hotline which I did immediately via text message 0429 999 888

Caller: Jerry Loro - "Telstra Employee ID: TLC00197 This guy gave me this same phone number to call back, stating I had an Internet problem with possibly others using my connection. He had an interesting "verification" buy showing me all the errors occurring in EVENTVWR >Adminstration and then used ASSOC from the CMD prompt to quote for me what my ZFSendtoTarget item was - but then is mine any different to anyone else? It all sounded very convincing but I terminated the call and I certainly aren't going to call him back!!!

Claimed that a "bad signal is coming from my internet" and overseas interests are using my internet without my knowledge or permission. I asked him for his name ("John Parker") and phone number (03) 9016 9242) and "promised to return his call". I googled the number and here I am!
