scam , do not engage , they claim to be from the ato ( Taxation office) saying you are being investigated for fraud , i suggest you call the real taxation office and report them if they contact you

I got a missed call today. Reading these comments are really helpful.. The SCAM!!

It was an automated message saying being investigated for tax fraud by the ATO. It also asked me to call a certain number to follow up with this matter.

Just got a missed phone call from this phone number and didn't recognise it. Thought I'd Google the number to see if there was anything, and needless to say, I'm very happy that I didn't pick up the call!

Caller: Scam call

Called claiming I had a lawsuit against me, as I’ve never called them back. Bed to call a weird number (02) 2206 3271 or something like that to get more info. Automated - obviously a scam

It was an automated message saying that me and my family were being investigated for tax fraud by the Australian tax office. It also asked me to call a certain number to follow up with this matter.

I recieved a call from this scam number today. Got the usual tax investigation and I am going to be charged with fraud etc etc. All done in a computer recorded message.
All I can do is log the date/ time and report it to the authorities.

This phone number called me this morning said: from ATO, is a India accent modified machine.

I answer ‭(03) 9016 0671‬ Msg saying ATO I need to call back urgently as I am being investigated. This gets better spoke with a lady then a male who said if I don’t pay I will be arrested & dragged out of my house..etc. I called ato and advised. Following day same man called back so I advised I had gone to the police and called ATO - they just called me back

do not give them any information!!

I received a call from this number ‭(03) 9016 0671. It was an automated message saying that me and my family were being investigated for tax fraud by the Australian tax office. A couple of hours before I received another call from this number ‭+39 0160671‬ with the same automated message

Had the same call. Obviously a scam. Hopefully they catch up with these losers.
