Also received an email from "jonezamudio260 @ gmail.com' with subject "ID-567875879" reading as follows.

We appreciate you keeping your AVG Security Protection subscription active. The date of your AVG Security Total Protection expiration is today, May 15, 2024. You select the option for auto-renewal mode.

The $399.00 renewal amount is automatically deducted from your bank account, and it takes a day for it to appear on your statement.

Received an email regarding an AVG subscription due to come out of my account from an address that has only been used for Medicare (so Medicare breach obviously). This was the phone number at the bottom of the email to contact.

I received a similar email re AVG security f providing this number to ‘get my money back’. Came from: hrrngtnjxn @ gmail.com. Also sent to an email address only used with Medibank. 😒

Received a text today re my Security subscription expiring as the above. As we outsource our IT security, it looked real but learnt not to trust texts etc from unknown. So searched the phone no and found this site which was useful. Deleted the message. Thank you

I received this scam Email that was meant to be from AVG but it is a scam.

Keep an eye on your bank accounts as it does not state account details and report it to your bank ASAP.
