Received an email regarding an AVG subscription due to come out of my account from an address that has only been used for Medicare (so Medicare breach obviously). This was the phone number at the bottom of the email to contact.

Email with this phone number on the bottom. RE: Computer Security renewal .

This email is to notify you that your AVG computer security account has been Auto Renewed and we have charged you $ 499.00 and within 1 working day you will see a charge from AVG computer Security for the renewal.

I received a similar email re AVG security f providing this number to ‘get my money back’. Came from: hrrngtnjxn @ gmail.com. Also sent to an email address only used with Medibank. 😒

Received a text today re my Security subscription expiring as the above. As we outsource our IT security, it looked real but learnt not to trust texts etc from unknown. So searched the phone no and found this site which was useful. Deleted the message. Thank you

As per the above the AVG Subscription which is fake. Also do not click on the attachment.

I received this scam Email that was meant to be from AVG but it is a scam.

Keep an eye on your bank accounts as it does not state account details and report it to your bank ASAP.

Is a number connected to a computer security system that was never subscribed to. My name never appears. Intent is to have you call to cancel and provide card details
