Man with an Indian accent calling himself Mike Wilson from Telstra calling me about unauthorised use of my internet. Gave me a number I could call to verify his authority (03) 9013 7095) but asked me to stay on the call to him while I did so. I hung up and immediately received 2 calls from 2 different suss numbers. Scammers!

Received a call stating that they are from Telstra, from 242 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, saying that my internet connection keeps dropping out and has unauthorized users on it. They asked whether my computer was working, and if I could jump to my home page, and they would show me how to access it!?!?!?

Calling as a Telstra technician. Called twice on my work number regarding my home internet. Was told our internet was being pinged and has suspicious activity and that they need to fix it.

Asked for my mobile number but I didn't give it. I questioned him why he is calling my work number for our home internet. He couldn't answer and just said it is the number on our account. Funnily enough my work number has never been attached to our home internet and our home internet is under my husbands name not mine.

Same as March 30, 2022 post - number given as that to call back Telstra’s technical department after calling us from 0480 046 057 ‘concerned’ about suspicious activity on our network, pushing the need for us to connect to ? to remedy and preferably by PC rather than tablet. Didnt persist, its an obvious scam. Hard talkers!

Pretending to be Telstra, suggesting there were suspicious IP addresses utilizing my internet. Had an ID number, and a suspiciously western name (Jerry Parker) given his Indian accent. This was their supposed "help desk" line that they gave me.
