I have just spoken to the Promotions Manager of Purewater Australia to threaten VCAT action against them due to harrassment. As they have entered into dealings with 24/7 and the 2 companies share private information, they have the responsibility to ensure legislation is followed and the public are not harrassed.

She took all my details and phone numbers that have been constantly called even after numerous requests for ceasation of calls because I warned her that I will go legal.
When you are next contacted by 24/7, ask for the caller's name and record what number they have called you from. Email their details along with your own to Jana. I'm sure she will be bombarded with the same complaint and if calls don't stop I'll be willing to be included in a class action against these companies with the hundreds of others who have had their privacy breached against Australian legislation!

literally JUST had a call from this number. they call me a couple of times per week everytime asking for a different person. i say no and they say 'must have the wrong number. see ya.' so annoying!

Why don't you email them and tell them how annoying they are?

I receive a call every day in the morning. I usually miss the call, but having learned this is a spam number, I added it to my reject list.

sick of these people calling asking for someone not here the company should have their line disconnected

I keep getitng these calls. I say I am not interested in life insurance. And yet they ignore me. I don't appreciate this. Calls me so many time, I recognise the number and don't answer it anymore.

These sick f*cks called several times after I received a request to participate in some kind of water survey, rude etc wouldn't answer subsequent calls, call back see previous

I receive 2 calls a day from this number mourning & evening... Driving be crazy. Thank his for the iPhone iOS7. With the ability to block callers... I too tried to call them back but no luck...

this number calls me every hour. I tell them to stop but they don't.

they call me constantly. i block the number from my phone, so they call from a different number... i called back only to be hung up on... dont answer these calls, dont call back as its probly costing you money to call them. block the numbers-best thing i ever did...

they call my mobile constantly and leave voice mail messages saying "hello hello" and some other messages is just backround music

My privacy is violated with constant calls from this number to my mobile during the day and after hours.Why can't they be traced and stopped?

I get called from this number and another number very similar within a few minutes of each other, constantly. Day and night. I do not wish to add my name to this for fear they will ramp up the calls!

I had missed calls from this number for over a month now! I have actually saved this number in my mobile as Scam Do Not Answer, i suggest you all do the same. Today i had enough and answered it to give them a earful. I might add they rang my home number which is a Telstra silent number last week as well trying to sell Funeral Insurance (India call centre).

She introduced herself as conducting on behalf of a water company conducting a water quality survey which is 5-6 questions and can take 5 minutes. I asked some very simple questions myself like how did they get my number, what is the purpose of the survey, what do you do with the responses to the survey questions and what is the return number that she was calling from.
They got my number from a CD called Australian On Disk and she let slip that they also got it from Data Australia, to get that information she had to ask someone next to her as i could hear this in the background!!
She explained it was a survey for water quality where you can i could win a water filter, but only after i did the survey then i go into a prize draw to win a water filter but at a cost of $150 bucks to win the filter, to which i said ARE YOU SERIOUS!!
She couldn't tell what they do with the responses as in where this information goes to!!! I asked for a return number as i already knew it for all the missed calls i have received was saved in my phone...she didn't know the phone number she was calling from and said that they (telemarketing company) didn't tell them (workers) what it was!! I also asked for them not call me ever again for which she said that i have to go to website to get my number removed from the list!!!! but she was going to get here bosses who apparently were not working today to get my number removed within 10-15 minutes at which i said get real!!!! I asked her do you like your job and she said ohh well it pay's the bills...sounded unprofessional and rude, they talk over you...my opinion is to talk over them and if this includes yelling then why the hell not!
I then told her well i expect calls all this week and the for the next month!!

I also received these calls last week for my home silent number where they don't leave a message except "hello, hello" on the answering machine and also answered and got responses as ohh we are in Melbourne CBD and we have a job to do.
I called back this number (03) 9008 6141, I got a voice prompt saying the number wasn't available, goodbye, and hung up in a American accent recorded message.

I have been receiving calls from this number on my tablet computer for the past week, sometimes a couple of times a day. I have set up a voicemail on the number stating that it's a computer but still the calls come.... Annoying

I just rang 1300 808 966. Purewater Australia. I spoke to the Manager Connie. She promised me they would contact the Telemarketing company in Melbourne & remove my mobile number. Let's see if that works.

calls started two days ago , exactly same as above. Im wondering if theyre getting paid per answered call ??? I answer and theres no one there. they quoted the company 'insuranceline' yesterday. Ill be ringing them !!!!

I'm so sick of them calling me! No body answers when I answer the call then it hangs up. They have called me twice a day for 1 week!
