I have had quite a number of these calls too. The one a few nights ago (who couldn't even properly identify who he was supposed to be representing!) was an almost unintelligible Indian gentleman revelling in the name of Mac Taylor. Mac Taylor! You have to be joking!! (anyone else watch CSI New York????). He was fast with the double talk when I asked him to give me the serial number of the machine in question, and even faster when I asked him to send an email to the email on my registration details he claimed to have, outlining the supposed problem. I told him I was nowhere near the computer as I was outside attending to animals and still he kept asking me to just turn on the computer. Asked him to repeat what I had said to him the last time he said to do so and he got really tongue tied. Have some fun with them when they ring and waste their time. It's what a con man deserves.

Scammers.

Call (03) 9008 4298 and ask for "Shaun Davis". Be polite and request support. Once you have a "support call" going pretend to follow instructions. If you are asked "what can you see" or "what has come up" or anything similar say "I see a picture of a horse".

They called me but when I said I was from Microsoft, they put someone else on the phone. I called them back and told them I needed help with my computer and just so they know, I told them they were on the radio as we were trying to see if they could help me. They insisted they were in Melbourne, but didn't even know what a post code was, or what part of Australia Melbourne was in.

Hey guys. Believe me, no matter what you think you are paying for, or no matter if you really eblieve this is legitimate or not, YOU'RE WRONG! Yes, you clowns on here who are trying to tell people this is real, you are probably the guys that call. It's as simple as that. It's a scam. Hang up, be rude and tell them to get lost. Threaten legal action, tell them you have a mac and whatever else you have to do to get rid of them.Use up to date virus software and a firewall if you are browsing the internet. Use a modern secure Internet browser like Firefox. Our friends on the other end of the phone claimed to be Microsoft Help center. They told me that I had a polymorphic infected file. Very convincing Indian guy...western name and very confident and seemed to know windows. Shame I was so frustrating for him that he started getting a loose toungue - hardly a Microsoft employee.Microsoft don't make calls about infected computers....EVER!

have had calls from these people every day for a week.  told them i would speak to my computer tech as they kept on saying my computer had a virus.  they  couldn't tell me which computer.  spoke to my computer tech and he advised, ther is NO way they could know anything about my computer/s. John White was the "supervisor" I got to speak to tonight.  Danny Warton was another and another woman I couldn't understand the name.  Told "John White" that if you people are trying to help, should be able to at least understand what the person is saying.  Haven't rung back the support line number, and I regret what I will say when they ring again.
