Caller: Claiming to be Telstra Security Called claiming my internet and IP were somehow showing as public and were being hacked with unusual activity. When prompted further to explain how that could be when my internet was not with Telstra or anyone who backs onto a Telstra line, they then tried to claim it was not about my internet at all and that no matter who I was with, Telstra was the only provider within Australia.
When asked what would happen if I wasn't within Australia, they hung up.
