I called Telstra and asked if the above number was a legitimate Telstra number. They said it wasn't Telstra. So must be some sort of scam. Beware.

Caller: Telstra call centre 132200 Legitimate call, eventually validated. Plan change after enquiring months ago. Took so long to have confidence in the call centre’s bona fide identity. Original call came from (03) 8892 6000..

I missed call and msg to ring 101. Rang 101 and could hear what definitely sounded like a call centre 'room' listened for a bit then male voice spoke to me in language other than English. I hung up.

Claimed to be Telstra, had all the right answers, even sent me a confirmation code, they were telling me I, 'HAD' to transfer to NBN within the next 74 hours, when I told them my son works for NBN & has told me that I have until March next year to make that decision, I got put straight through to a Telstra 'survey' that asked how they had done today, so I told them in no uncertain manner what I thought of them.

I just got a call from this number claiming it was Telstra and that I got a free ungrade to an unlimited broadband package, catch was they wanted to confirm my Date of birth, don’t give it out! When I didn’t give it out she got cranky and hung up...
