Got several missed calls from this number. When i finally answered I could hear background noises but no one spoke. I eventually hung up

it's a company that has all of telstra's user information. They knew my pincode, secret phone password, account usage, type of phone etc. The person who called was kiwi but claimed to be from south australia. They wanted me to upgrade my phone plan and change my phone.The company name started with a C, but i forget it atm. Have received a dozen calls in the past 4 hours from the following numbers, including this.0392464700038808170003983466000398057000

Got 2 calls from similar numbers, (03) 8808 1400 and (03) 8808 1700 - I didnt answer either, after googling the numbers and seeing all this I aint going to bother checking my voice mail...

Automated diallers, designed to cost you money by calling the number back when you get the hang up. A cheap marketting ploy that is clearly playing on peoples curiosity and generosity.

Telstra blows.

I just had a call from this number on my mobile with no answer when I picked up the phone.  After saying hello 3 times the caller disconnected. Very annoying!

I've just had one of these calls - had several about a month ago and today another one. I missed the call on my mobile and received a text message to call the message bank. However there was no message.

Getting calls from this number (03) 8808 1400). No messages were left.

I am receiving annoying calls from this number (03) 8808 1400. I called back and the greeting said it's Telstra.
