Caller: AMAZON SCAM (03) 8805 2824 I work in IT and I have recently received this scam call and I have played the dumb for look at what extent do they go... They will tell you that they are from amazon and that you have created an account with your mobile phone number. For deactivate the account they will prompt you to go to the App Store and Install a remote assistance app called Any Desk. DO NOT DO IT!! REMEMBER > this APP will allow them to Remote control your device, Transfer files. ME> "Hey, why do you want me to download this app and remote my device? Amazon doesn't do that! Amazon will prompt you to go the website, go to Account, memberships, thats all! WHO are you, and from WHERE are you calling from?" HIM > I'm calling from Sydney and I'm in the office in North Sydney. ME > Well that's unfortunate because, 1. I'm recording the conversation 2. Your number is 03 and in Sydney the area code is 02, so where the hell are you calling from HIM > He hung up
