How market research is exempt from the do not call register is beyond me! It's exactly why the register exists

These people asked to speak to my Mother. I told them they had to be clairvoyant.

Blah blah blah. Just another group that our government should stop. These calls are ridiculous. Have nearly 600 numbers blocked. Australia wake the f up. If this continues we won’t be able to speak to anyone

Had left "NO" message nor TEXT to say how they obtained mobile number nor why they attempted to make communication with the "ASSUMED" person/s they wish to speak to ?
Would this above "Listed" caller be a hoax ? Prank ? overseas infiltrator ? Criminal / bogus intent ?

apparently Australian "commonwealth" government research group asking questions directed towards Victorians about health care

wanted to know if i lived in Victoria to participate in an survey. Told them no and they thanked me for my time and hung up

I received a call on my mobile from this number just now. There was a like a three second silence, and then the hung up. I phoned the company TKW Research and complained about this error. They were helpful, and apologised.

Caller: Patrick from LED company

Advised they were 'Patrick' from some LED company asking if I had upgraded my hot water. For the 15th time in a week I asked them to STOP CALLING ME!

When will the government do something about these Indian scam centres.

Rang my mobile and said he was from Telstra and that someone was using my internet. Spoke with an Indian accent.

Calls but doesn't leave a message. Therefore unimportant. Why are these annoying twats exempted from the Do Not Call Register and allowed to make unsolicited calls? What's the point of a Do Not Call Register? Their number is now blocked from calling me.

Missed call. No message left. After reading the comments here, I am very glad that I didn't pick up the phone.

No one should be exempt from the Do Not Call Register. The whole idea of setting it up was to stop nuisance calls. If various companies are going to be exempted, the register can't protect anyone. The rules for this register should be changed to no exemptions, unless they have express permission from the person receiving the call.

Your a pest and we wish you would stop calling us - especially when your operators sound like they are calling from overseas - you do sound like a scam - not at all interested - how many times do we have to say so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caller: A female called Kim

Said she was from BT Financial - wanting to speak to one of my brokers in relation Asgard - did not want to leave a message said she would call back another time. She did the same thing with one of our other brokers yesterday - hmmmmmm - always a bit weary when I see these 03 numbers. Usually scammers.

Thanks to this excellent resource, I now know the annoying number that goes automatically to my blocked nbr list is TKW Research group.
Although exempt from 'do not call' register if calling for political or research reasons, you can still contact this types of organisations, who handle these campaigns, and ask for your number to be removed from their database; have done so successfully on numerous occasions once identified where they're from.

I didn’t answer the call as I don’t answer numbers I don’t know. But seeing these comments will now just block the number
