Why can't the communications ombudsman do something to shut these bastards down. I'm sick to death of them calling.

just do as I have - set up a contact called 'DN Answer (telemarketer)'. Every time one of these numbers calls, I first check reverse to see what it says, then add the number to my DN Answer contact. Whenever my phone rings DN Answer, I straight away decline the call. My Dn Answer contact currently has at least 20 numbers listed because these telemarketers change their number as well. As for the ' don't phone register' - forget it - they don't look up a register for numbers, they simply have an auto dialler that dials a random combination of 8 digits - hence, they haven't used a register, should his honour ever ask ?

Called me at 6.30am Sunday morning. I did not get to the phone in time. Checked Reverseaustralia and now see it is telemarketing.

They called l answered and blew a whistle l keep close by into phone. Hahaha they hung up. 😀

(03) 8658 9099 calls Sydney area about 1500 regularly. I have them blacklisted in my phone so it does not ring. Just comes up with a message that SPAM# called.

The latest android update marks it as a spam call when my mobile rings.
Click on the number. Go to 'more' option then 'block' and your mobile wont even ring.
You do get a missed call text though.

Called and soon as I answered they hung up....F me how they got my number as its not listed.

A lot of mobile and land lines now have call auto reject, where it'll make no noise at your end and reject the call... Maybe try seeing if you have this feature, it can be hidden away.. I was mega happy when I found it on both my Samsung S5 and cordless telephone on my land-line... yes, they do drive you mad..

I find youre better off saying 'hang on, i'll go and get xxxx who owns this phone'. Then just put the phone down or away and let them wait... sure enough they dont call back.

Whenever I get one of these calls I add the number as a contact in my phone under ZBLOCKED (the Z sends it the bottom of the list) then block the number. I have about a dozen at the moment.

The one I received today came from the US - it had the US prefix +1 613 - but was the same number - 8658 9099.
