What earthly good is the Do Not Call Register? Random phone calls received multiple times a day - Australian and international numbers. I keep my home number for only two people to contact me yet I receive about 20 calls per week from unknown callers. So infuriating!

I called back number (03) 8658 9071 spoke to a woman who said company name is FTO capital.

It looks like they have reactivated this number in 2023. Scam.

So far this number has called five times today. When answered no one is there.
Have made multiple complaints to do not call

Talking about LED lights. I hung up. This number and similar numbers call daily. I run a business and unfortunatly I have to answer calls. I now keep a filter list of pest numbers.

Female caller supposedly calling about government replacing light globes for LED's. All for free except there is a $33 admin charge. As soon as I said I wasn't interested she hung up.

Claimed to be offering LED replacement lights for older high-energy-consumption lights. Made an appointment to visit. Didn't show up. tried to contact by Phone at above number but phone wasn't answered.

Complete nuisance. I am on the “Do not call register” which obviously does do good.

"Financial Trading Online" based in the Republic of the Marshall Islands is a forex broker and ASIC says is unlicensed in Australia. Reading FTO reviews, their unlicensed status makes them a dangerous company to work with. As an occasional investor they zeroed in on me and pester me relentlessly by phone using a myriad of disguised local numbers hiding their overseas origins.
