Caller: Autodialler - Robocall Idiot called and as soon as I answered, terminated the call. This is an auto-dialler which is checking for a human response so they can add you to a list for further harassment. BLOCKED. Doesn't matter what service it is offering, legitimate or not, permitted by government regulation or not, I now no longer trust any calls made by telephone and I don't trust the regulator, the ACMA, to fix this problem. They are USELESS.

Caller: Mary When I answered the caller (female) said “Hi this is Mary, how are you?”. I said “Hi Mary!” enthusiastically. Then I heard the sound of shuffling footsteps and seconds later Mary hung up on me. Quite mysterious! Mary sounded kinda cool though. Being a little disappointed I didn’t get a chance to engage her in some witty repartee. I quickly tried calling her back but, sadly, I couldn’t get through (despite numerous attempts). Will try again later. Have added Mary to my contacts with a special customised ringtone (the theme song to ‘The Love Boat’ (great show by the way!). I won’t miss her call! I’m sure Mary will call me back. In the meantime I will practice my greeting. I over did it last time and, no doubt, my passion overwhelmed her. She’ll call back once she has had a chance to cool down. Must have got a bit flustered. Understandable really! If anyone has other contract details for Mary please do share them with me. Or if you talk to her let her know I’m looking forward to her call. Just say Mitch is standing by for your call. Whenever is convenient she can call me. Day or night, it doesn’t matter I’ll be here, waiting with bated breath.

Rings every day at different times, then againb 10 minutes later and never leaves a message. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. I am on the do not call register but that seems to make little difference.

Caller: scam call phone number shown on caller ID is a non existent number and does not connect if you try to ring back. Number is clearly being artificially generated by scammers to hide their identity and the true origin they are actually calling from. If you receive a call from this number do not answer and block it immediately.
