‘Not in service’ message is fake. Call is answered and you pay for it.

Voice message is not a genuine Telstra or other network voice talent.

Some sort of debt collection call centre hidding company name.

Number called but phone said suspected spam. No message left so checked here & saw earlier post - will block now

Scam survey. Pixel phone picked it as suspect & I let the phone screen & record it. Voice claimed if I answered survey I'd go into a prize draw Q1 how old are you blah blah. Blocked.

AI 'Tess' answers asking if you want to take part in research, you could be in the draw to win a thousand dollars - Are you under or over the age of 58, press 1 or 2 - if you dont respond, 'Tess' will repeat the question 4 times and disconnect the call

I never answer calls I don't recognise unless I'm profoundly expecting them.
If it's important, they will leave a message for me to decide on a call back.
No message means no callback. I check the number here instead.
Result: verified and blocked.

Won't they ever give up? Still trying to scam people despite a long history of reported scam calls by the public. As long as these stupid scammers keep using the same number I think we are quite safe. The unknown ones are the dangerous ones.

Glad I checked this .
Always Google an unknown number from your phone first and it will lead you here. Just google the actual phone number with the area code.
I suspected scam and sure enough it was!
Don’t ever respond to a call at first sight .
First instincts are right instincts! Hope this helps others .
