Phoned twice on Easter Monday at 8 pm. Indian on the phone trying to sell me something. (somehow he knew my name !!)
Asked if they were a charity of which he said NO.
Said that I was on the "Do not call register" so therefore don't ring me again
Hung up on him - scam do doubt !!!!

I called back number (03) 8652 1854 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Called today, said I had registered for information from some finance company I think, I said no I have not and not interested thank you. Tried to end call and lady kept talking so I hung up. She called straight back and said we must have been disconnected and I said no I hung up and I'm not interested. She was angry that I wouldn't listen so I said politely, no thank you and hung up again...

Caller: Centrum or Central Markets.

Guy with an Indian accent, said he was 'Alex' from London (on an 03 Victoria number??!!). Told him I was on do not call list. Didn't understand or care. Pestering me about financial markets. Said it was his job. Got angry about why I didn't want to make money. Told him this was an invasion of my privacy at home. Finally hung up as he wanted to keep going. Unbelievable! Which telcos to contact to shut them down?

Caller: Hayder from centrum markets

Same as the above - doe snot stop calling - will not take no for an answer - made at least 10 calls to me. Even tried letting him talk himself out. Why would any business waste so much time on people who say no if they are not a scam

Continually getting scam calls from this number saying they are from Centrum Markets. Have also received unsolicited email. Sick and tired of the Telco's doing nothing to stop this.

Caller: "Financial company"

I answered after being hounded for 2 weeks (around 20 calls) including at 8.30 and 9.30 PM !!!! It was an accented male stating I had shown interest in the financial market. When I pushed about the times they have rung and that I am on the 'do not call register' he advised they are in Mauritius (yet Melbourne ph#?) so the register and time doesn't count!!! This is so utterly ridiculous that we don't have more control over these interferences.

This number has called our virtual office over 10 times now for a client- the guy calling was so rude to me when i said no one was available to talk to him (later found out it was a nuisance caller). He demanded to speak to my manager as he had been told no one was available. After reading these comments i'm glad i didn't put him through to the business owner.

Received email minutes after call finished so that means my details have not been removed.

Caller: Francer Markets

Cold calling international trading firm not based in Australia, polite enough to "remove my details" after not expressing interest. We'll see about that one. However, they claimed they got my number through "online financial marketing forums that you participate in" which is bovine excrement so this party is best avoided.

Identified themselves as "central" or "centaur" markets (??? hard to tell, thick accent) - presumably some kind of financial company. Have been called by them half a dozen times in past year. Each time I ask to be removed from their lists as I am not at all interested. Finally, I just blocked this number.

Sent me an email and are trying to lure me into their trap. Is there any way to track these guys?

They rang and left a message asking me to call back to discuss the contents of an email they had "supposedly" sent me. I rang the number back and it got disconnected.

Same. Won’t stop calling. Don’t answer this number.

Have rung about 10 times over the long Easter weekend. When i said i was not interested and asked them not to call again - they rang back!!!!!

Sales call from overseas call centre. Called twice on Easter Friday to sell something.
