Caller: Male Indian claiming to be from the do not call register

Started asking details. Told him I didn’t know who he was and I wasn’t going to answer any of his questions.

Seeing the number listed here, I didn't answer the call. How are numbers obtained? I suppose from white pages online. Since three months we have a private number but our number is still in the data systems of scammers as well as old paper phone books. Though, I don't think scammers consult paper phone books to find numbers.

Caller: (03) 8652 1629 said he was from the do not call register.

He has an Indian accent and wanted my date of birth. That is when I hung up on him.

Female caller telling me she could stop all calls other than important ones like family etc. she stated my address I told her it was wrong and hung up.

He said he was from a call blocking service, and that he could block calls to my phone.
I asked him how he knew which calls to block, and he said he would block satellite calls.
Sounded like a scam, so I hung up.
