I called it back and they answered. The guy had an Asian accent and said he was the supervisor for a an agency conducting surveys for the NSW state Government. I couldn't comprehend why, what for or who the company was; as he made damn sure he was not going to let me understand. I asked for his name (he said Leanne). I asked him to spell it (he replied Rin). he offered a web site that was total BS.
don't give them any information and report it as fraudulent

Called my business mobile on Friday 28/4/2023. Said they were a social marketing company calling on behalf of an Australian govt organisation to do a survey on tourism. I should have asked which govt organisation.

Only asked about how many people answered this business phone number, age and suburb of residence (+ postcode), figured out I had only been in the area for less than 3 months and said I didn't qualify for the survey. Bit of and odd call.

Said they were calling on behalf of a govt organisation doing a market research survey on tourism. Only asked what suburb I resided in and age. Then said that I had lived in my residential area for less than 6 months and so I didn't qualify for the survey.

Hello, I actually spoke with the same man I believe. I was provided with a legitimate website and why they were conducting their survey, so there may have been miscommunication there? I was not asked for any personally identifying information, and felt comfortable completing the survey. They were was helpful and professional.

I called back number (03) 8639 5200 spoke to a guy who said I've reached Owes International.
