After too many years as an AGL customer and a few too many frustrating phone calls with fake american accents coming out of an Asian call centre, I have now found an Australian only call centre to monitor and produce my electricity bills. As warned by my new biller the emails & phone calls have started from AGL. I have no intention of talking with AGL, too little too late! Support Australian Companies with Australian employees while they exist.

Left AGL, now they want to talk.
Was advised towards the end of my 12 month contract that prices and discounts would change. I called them and said I was tired of having to play their game by only getting a good deal if I attempt to disconnect services with them. They said their hands were tied and to call at the end of my contract in case they could help. I'm done with it, went to another company. Now they want to talk. Should have talked when I called.
After swapping to another supplier AGL have been calling and calling. I finally answered, if only to get them to stop. They want to offer discounts to persuade me to stay with them; discounts they didn't offer while they were happy taking my money for years. Caller (female, Indian) was extremely impolite and abruptly hung up on me when she realised I wasn't interested. Probably gets commission for everyone she talks into staying on and didn't want me to waste her time. Good riddance...

Sounded like an international call centre through an Australian number. Asian style American accents wanting to know why i was leaving AGL.
The phone call would be reason enough - fake interest from international person calling on behalf of a corporation.
I left AGL because they would not reply to my requests for a better deal. Am now with local provider with clear local autsralian) support.
Switching to another company and agl have called non stop. They offered another deal but its not as good as what we are switching too.

yes a few desparate calls every day..wonder why. Please come back to AGL, we promise to treat you nice...promise. Like the song goes, "its too late to apologise, its too late". question is, when will they give up trying...how desperate are they? F.Off. It's too late.
Caller: Claimed to be AGL Electricity
We have just cancelled our AGL electricity account after years of unsatisfactory treatment; call claimed to be from AGL & requested personal information including property address, which I refused, said they could offer a better contract for electricity, told them I wouldn't deal with AGL if they gave me the electricity free!
Like the previous comment, to little to late!
Got tow missed call and the caller didn’t even know he was leaving a voice mail. I left the company and now they are trying to pull me back. No way.
Thanks for the comments - I thought I might have to do something to finally be rid of AGL but it appears they are giving discounts at death's door when they haven't treated me very well.
I have interacted twice with the call centre telling them I do not give out my personal details to overseas callers whose number I don't know. They hang up abruptly
This number calls me several times a day and never leaves a message. I won't give them the satisfaction of answering and swearing at them which I'd love to do! Two calls in two days. As usual I let it go to message and no message left. Now from this posting I can see it is AGL. I will block this number. AGL energy. bugger off. They fall me like 3 times a day and i have blocked thier number and they still try calling AGL retention Kept having missed calls from them but the phone didn't even ring. Eventually blocked the number. Caller: AGL
Stop calling me AGL. Your discount if fake. I gave you the opportunity to beat the new and was told you couldn’t. Now I am leaving you can.
