Most likely an auto-dial machine to make sure number is valid before telemarketer or scammer tries it.

Same here, 4.30ish afternoon calls - probably trying the scam 24/7, nobody there - SCAM!

They ring our work number about 3 or four times every day and just hang up. Very annoying

Called several times, each time the phone hangs up when answered. When it goes to voicemail they say 'hello, hello' (Indian accent), then silence, then they hang up. I have blocked them and reported to Scamwatch.
