Rang 7AM . It was an automatic voice but didn’t get it.Number to be blocked. received call with recorded message stating if i dont call back a payment of $249 will be debited to my account for a microsoft subscription. Called back, answered by person with strong indian accent who insisted i have MADE a payment and wanted to offer me a refund. When i pressed for more detail he hung up. So much for government putting a stop to these numbers, they are still trying to scam. I received one today. the automated [?} foreign voice stated .. your credit card will be automatically debited for charges for computer services tomorrow if you do not call this number Caller: Microsoft voice message
Message about an automatic withdrawal of $299 if we didn’t respond
They left a message saying that I needed to call or I would be charged a large sum of money...my phone has not stopped all day with these weird numbers coming up. I’m about to disconnect my landline.. try to claim $290 was being deducted from my bank account unless i called them back Caller: Scammer
Pretending to be Microsoft.
For the record, Microsoft billing can be cancelled through your account online.
Total scammers. The automated message you get when they leave a voice mail says something about calling them back to avoid $199 being charged to your bank account. I called this number back out of curiosity and the guy says "I am calling you from your computer maintenance department" I said "I don't have a computer maintenance department" and he hung up on me. It sounded like a call centre in the Philippines to me. Caller: don't know
didnt' pick it up and was diverted to voice mailbox.
it pretended to be from computer IT and threaten my computer would be locked if not paying a ransom ....
i nearly burst into tears
Caller: Windows Subscription Dept
It’s a scam
Caller: Paul Smith (sounded African?)
Called to say my account would be charged $299 tomorrow. Claimed to be from Microsoft Tech Dept. Claimed it was a free subscription from 2016, didn't I remember this???? Would be charged if I didn't cancel it, they couldn't do it for me. Due to them calling this meant they had (met their duty of care), my words not theirs. Very difficult to understand.
I expect a big time scammer - when I didn't answer there was a recorded message asking you to call them back if you don't want to have $$ deducted from your account. Caller: Scammers
Claiming to be windows support asking for money. Scammers, just hang up.
Caller: Bosnian Hacker Scam Operation
They will try to convince you to download a remote control software to give them access to computer. do not do it, it is a scam and it will be very damaging.
Caller: Cancellation Dept - Microsoft
The company phoned my mobile. I missed the call.
I phoned them back on my sister's landline.
The fellow with an Indian accent said I had paid them $349 a few years ago. When I denied it, he stated it was me thinking I was the owner of the phone I was using. Yet he had originally called me on my mobile, a totally different number! He put the phone down when I asked him to state my name.
cold call mid-morning, no voicemail left
automatic voice, when I rang back they said they had charged me a fee of $299 from my bank account and I have to go to my computer so they can reverse it..very suspect Some recorded message on my voicemail about my bank account being blocked. Ignored and blocked the number. Caller: Scam
