Caller: Down lights scammer

Rang right at tea time, 😡 so hard to understand, but we put in down lights in your place ! That was enough to make me boil, as we have NEVER had and WON’T have them. 😡
About time the Telco’s put a stop to these bloody scammers. 😡😡😡😡😡

I answered - long pause - they hung up.

Rang twice around dinner. No voice on other end. Engaged when tried to call back - probably too bust spamming other numbers.

Telemarketers calling about online trading. As another poster said there was loud music in the background and it was very hard to understand the woman. I asked how they got my number and they said I submitted my details via a google ad for a call back. I told her I didn’t. She said yes I did. I said I don’t use google so you are a liar. I then said how does it feel to be a liar? Does it make you feel good to lie because in my experience people who lie are sh*tty people who no one likes or trusts. She called me a bitch and hung up.
I like to waste their time and be horrible to them since they are arseholes who deserve what they get

I missed this call and no message was left. Earlier today I put my name down for another site and based on all the above comments I wonder if that business has my details onto someone else. Not cool.

I declined the call number is unknown to me based on comments just as well

Hard to understand but somehow she knew my name and was asking if i was interested in financial securities and trading (i think?). When I asked how she came across my number she said it was on a list from an affiliate company that was transferred to her. I pressed for more details but she said alright never mind, have a good day. My number is on the DNCR.

Caller: Marketer scam

Lady said she was calling about financial security- they had loud music playing in background could hardly understand her anyway

So interesting what effect these calls have on people...

Claimed to be from an affiliate who referred them my number about getting into the share trading. I just hung up

This number rang me on my home line here in Melbourne. I rang it back from both an Adelaide number and a Brisbane number that I have, but it is constantly engaged.

Some sort of scam, no doubt.

Whoever called, I would have to say it's probably a scammer based on other reports...

BUT

The call came in 2+ hours ago, & because they weren't on my phones contact list it didn't ring....My Call Guardian's digital assistant intercepted the call & would have told them to announce themselves....press the # key, & stay on the line....if they did they would have rang in & I would have then decided to answer the call or bounce their unknown selves into oblivion by blocking them....

Thank you Telstra Call Guardian 301 MKII......my inexpensive $79.00 portable phone/ans system......nobody gets to me unless the Call Guardian puts them through!!

PS.....I have no connected to Telstra.....I don't work for anybody----I'm retired....

Scammers/telemarketers/annoyances used to ring 4-6 times a day.....now only 2 announced themselves & got through.....because I answered them (their caller ID numbers were bogus) only 2 got through.....in the last YEAR......but hundreds have tried & failed!!!

foreign accent asked for me by name and wanted to know if I had received the LED lights that been sent to me by the Government. I didn't answer and hung up on him.
