Call centre in India trying to sell Google adwords to our business

Claimed to be from Google. Was actually an Indian scammer very persistent. Email they sent to me was total BS. I have been a IT Consultant for 24 yrs and these scammers are BAD BAD BAD. Trying to get me to verify my Google Business listing. PHISHING 101.

Persistent calling, never leaving a message. Picked up today, was an Indian sounding male claimed to be from google.. I told him that he must have the wrong number and hung up on him. Glad I did after reading everyone's comments!

Google scam trying to update MyBusiness listing that doesn’t exist for my old business name, told them I would call my google manger and get it sorted, the Indian chick held her nerve but bit redundant when they are trying to get you to update a business that hasn’t been trading in that name for 5 years haha. Bad scum preying on people.

(03) 8593 9173 - can someone do something about this company, they keep ringing my father's mobile and asking to remote his computer. they know my dad is old man. they tried so hard to keep ringing every day to brainwashed my father that his computer has issues. I have lodge complaints.

Says he was from Google asking about the listing of my business which I closed back in 2008.
I knew it was a scam because I called it back and hid my NO but it never answered.
I’d say 💯 it’s another bloody Indian scam call. 😡😡

The caller claimed to be from Google and referred to an old business listing. He requested that this business listing must be removed and he was going to guide me through on the computer. I said I had no access to my computer. He was quite pushy. I asked him how I can remove this business and he gave me general information which does not apply. He wanted to call back in a few hours.

Hung up immediately after I says hello

When you pick up, there is a long pause. Normal telltale sign of a cold call scam. They knew my name. Hung up promptly.

They hung up when I answered and it is always busy when I call back. It sounds suspicious to me.

I don't know why these people bother, hang up as soon as you answer. Never leave message, so what are they trying to achieve other than being annoying
