Caller: Lady from charity wanting help with domestic violence

The Lady (with good English) said she did not want anything (why did she ring then?) but then there was that tell-tale silence from when I picked up the landline phone till she spoke. Suspect dodgy in some way. Hung up because she would not listen to the fact I was not interested.

Was a lady saying from next step Australia. Wouldn’t listen when I said sorry not interested. Blocked caller

Have had calls from this number a few times. I never answer if a call is not identified. If they leave a message I will call back. Otherwise I block the caller.

Well spoken lady who could almost sell ice to a Eskimo that finds it hard taking no as a answer.

Said hello, very polite, called from Next Step Australia Clayton Victoria. I listened to her talk about domestic violence, she went on and on and when she started talking about me donating money I told her that I'm broke and struggle to find rent money each week. She kept talking over me so I hung up on her.

These calls from Next Step Australia are scams. If you go the the actual, legitimate website for Next Step Australia a warning comes up about this scam. Next Step Australia, as with most reputable charities, will never solicit funding or donations by cold calling.

Called the number back at 10.51am to get a pre-recorded message telling me that the call I received was from one of Australia leading charity call centres and that it was outside operating hours. Came up on my phone as Clayton, Vic.

Called. I answered.. long delay.... then hung up... weird??

It is NOT a charity if it cold calls and less than 99% of the achieved funds go directly to the cause.These ppl are parasites.The do not call register should allow us to choose who we block. It needs to do that or shut down.There's more harassment now than ever.These scum are living off the loophole the govt gave them
