Caller: I don’t know

Who called me from this number (03) 8560 4215

just got a call from this number - they fumbled with the call and said they were from 'australian live opinion' whatever the f that is. i hung up.

My guess, looking at this page, is it is either a telemarketer or a scammer. Calls I don't recognise are sent to my voicemail where the caller is prompted to leave a message to identify themself. Telemarketers and scammers never leave a message.

Caller: Possible scam

Apparently ‘Australian Life Opinion’. Questions about my wage, age, job role, investment opinions, which state I live in, email address, lifestyle during and post Covid… gave them completely wrong answers to all as it could have easily been a spoofing attack.

Caller: It's "Australian Lifestyle Opinion"

They are surveying people to try to get enough info to provide financial advice to them later on by e-mail or mobile. I played along to about 80% of their questions to see what they're up to.

Caller: Australian Live Opinion

They called me out of the blue. They had my full name. They asked me questions about my spending habits. I answered every question totally wrong.

Basically, they were:
"what age bracket are you in?" (didn't even give you an option in the 20's)
"are you saving money?"
"have you ever lost money on investments?"
"how long have you been employed?"

I told the caller that I was unemployed and had been for three months. They hung up on me as soon as I said that. I've been reading some of the other comments that say that the caller tries to get them to sign up to financial advice. That line of questioning indicates that it is what they were trying to do.

SCAM!!

Interesting, I just got a missed call from that number, and when I check in here, the only entry for the number is for a single mystery call to someone else, YESTERDAY. Who knows what that means, but it doesn't inspire confidence. Looks like a brand new scam/pest number has just been born. Thank you, AJ, who posted yesterday. ;)

Another telemarketing cold call

Asked for me by full name... then hung up when I confirmed. This has happened a couple of times from different numbers.

I asked the guy on the phone (who knew my full name) where he got my name and mobile from, and he said from a database. I told him his call was no interest to me, remove my details and not to call me again. He respond. “You remove it you f**king a**hole”. Then hung up.
Number blocked.

Didn’t leave a message and number busy upon returning call. Avoid!

Supposedly a mob called Australian Lifestyle Opinion .. Asked for me by name, pronounced it wrongly as a non Aussie would, They called direct on my mobile number and started talking with a well rehearsed script but wouldn't answer on the spot what the call was about so I hung up. this is the second call in two days so they must have lists of people to run through
