Caller: Chase??? Mortgages reduction

Received a call (call centre) saying they had obtained my details from a 2017 home show that I attended - I haven’t attended any shows since 2013, so they are potentially cycling through old records trying to sell (offer free of charge, but I’m sure there is a catch) a mortgage reduction strategy.

This company is using some sort of "win a free car" raffle scheme ( they got me at Melbourne show by yelling out " WIN A FREE CAR "! ) to accrue numbers. They can then call you and say " we just need to confirm a few details for the raffle so we can contact you if you win, also why you're here do you have a mortgage" ? Gets you on side with them and in a better frame of mind for them to make a sale. Less likely to say get stuffed and hang up like most of us do if you may win a car. They have called me and just hung up 4 days in a row..time to block.

This a bunch of scumbags in a noisy call centre. The call centre is using a technology that utilises a disconnected (Melbourne) number. Call this number and both Telstra and Optus will advise that the number is not connected. However, these telcos won't investigate nor put a block on these scumbag operations.

I let it go to message bank. I always do with numbers I don’t know. That you all for confirming my reason not to answer. I will now block, yet another annoying, useless scam call number !! I hope there is a part of government, or the telcos that can pull the plug on this kind of crap

Caller knew my christian name, not my surname. Said I had won a prize at a baby show. I told her I hadn't been to a baby show. She then asked me if I had a daughter who had been to a baby show. I ended conversation.

Answered and a girl said hope uh grr pregnant soon...and then hung up wtf. Lol

Answered and could hear a call centre in the background, but got hung up on. Obviously a spam call.
