Them: "We are, but we work for an Australian company"
Me: "Okay then, what is your street address?"
Them: Hang up

I am registered on the Australian do not call register and they still called me. So I called them back and gave them a bit of an earful for breaking the law.

Any chance of getting a number of people together to take legal action against the local company? That would stop this invasion of privacy very quickly

I've had at least 50 calls over the past 12 months from around 10 different numbers.

have called a number of times. I don't answer, they don't leave a message so obviously nothing of importance. I guess they are just telemarketers anyway it seems

still calling after so many complaints ..... seems Australians are more vulnerable than anyone else when it comes to spam/fraud from overseas call centers

They keep calling every two freaking hours and I’m getting super annoyed. If you pick up, the other end is silent, then it hangs up. Soooo annoyed.

When I had my phone connected in 2014 the first call I received was a scammer & within a couple of hours. This number keeps calling similar time daily, I just ignore it, never leaves a message. Any cold calling should be illegal !
