Ok, this number is really dodgy - be very very wary.The guy who called today, "Sam", decided to claim that I was behind on my payments and proceeded to refuse to give me any identifying information instead asking me for private information such as my date of birth etc (remember this is an inbound call that could be from anybody). Dodgy!

I got call from this number (03) 8330 5100).was told " I am calling from Medibank. Do you have any questions regarding your policy?" I said "No, I am happy with my current policy" and hang up.but it looks pretty strange how come medibank will call & ask for questions whereas when we need to speak to customer support from medibank it takes ages.For a moment I thought this may be geniune call from medibank but could not believe it & then googled it & found thi link.

I too have had this number call me several times over the past couple of weeks, not knowing who it was I let it ring out and i fugured that if it was important, they would leave a voice mail message; they didn't do so. I finally called the number and it was Medibank private asking if i was happy with my level of cover, after much waiting and being put on hold, the matter has (hopefully) resoved itself.

I have received 3 calls so far from this number in the past week. They just called again, I picked up, silence, no one answered! So I have now saved this number in my phone under the name: SPAM. Dont answer

After several days of missed calls and on-hold music from this number I called the number back. I received a recorded message from Medibank about upgrading my policy. I then called 132 331 (a number in the recorded message) and demanded an explaination as to why I was being called, why there was no-one on the other end. I also enquired was it their policy to make bogus 'missed calls' so that members called them back and pay for the call for their promotion. After several divertions I was put through to the 'Outgoing Calls' area who then recorded on my policy that I do not want any promotional calls made to my mobile - time will tell. They claimed it was a technical error - yeah right !!

Just missed a call from this number, I'm always wary when the STD & local number don't match up, so I to googled it & found this, bloody marketing campaigns, they are a pain!!!!!!
