Spam call claiming they are Telstra but reckons you have an issue with your IP address and want you to remote access your PC, I kept them on the phone for 20 mins wasting their time

Asked me why I had not responded to their text, told me it was about fitting a small power device that should be connected to my smartphone. Told them I already have one and am not interested, they asked me to hold the line while they took another call so I hung up straight away. They tried calling me back!!

Two calls in 2 days to my mobile. bogus "NBN" caller. (female, "sub-continental" accent) wanted the usual details.
strung her along for a couple of minutes thanks to hands free & me reading emails on the PC. The trick is to make them hang up first after a couple of minutes - ruins their productivity.

Caller: Woman Heavy Indian accent, claiming to be from Telstra. Telling me something about my internet connection issues. Wanted to send a technician to rectify and need my name, address etc. Gave her time to do the pitch and told her I only have mobile internet. She hanged up, not sure if it was something I said or done. I thought it was rather poor customer service.

Caller said hackers were able to infiltrate my internet connection due to unsafe connection...then they wanted to access my computer using remote desktop. When confronted they swore a lot and terminated call.
