Called again, this time stayed on hold for the whole duration.

Finally got an answering service claiming that it's some telecommunications company called Karri(?) Telecommunications an that I had won iPad, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy through a survey of some sort.

My number is on the ACMA Do Not Call register so have left a nice threatening message on their voice mail.

Just had a call from this number, hid my ID & called them back it sounded like some asian answering, not sure if its a hoax or not but did say "welcome to optus"....if they are not from optus how did they get hold of our phone numbers, optus needs a kick in the pants

Same as everyone else...they call then hang up when answered...purpose? If it was my home number I would speculate they were casing the joint to see if someone was home....

Rang me at 5:45pm today, missed the call and they didn't leave a message... but from what I can see on here im glad I didn't answer.... Seems to be Optus related one way or another though.

I have had up to 5 calls from this number every day for the past 3 weeks. Tried calling back, no answer. They don't leave a message. I'm getting fairly pissed off with it now. How can I block it??

I cant be bothered ringing the complaints line and waiting to speak to someone so I went on line and logged a complaint to Optus. Here is the reply:

The telecommunications industry standard allows 30 days for us to respond, however Optus will attempt to address your concerns prior to that.

I get a phone call each day from this number - same thing, IF i answer it, they just hang up?!!! VERY annoying. I rang back once and just got hold music. How do you block a number?

Have had daily calls from this no. Hangs up every time I answer then when I call back an American voice says hello sounds a bit auto generated. Steer clear I say!

Keep getting missed calls from this number. The phone doesn't even seem to ring, I just end up getting a text saying I got a missed call. Happened just now while I had phone in my hand sending someone a text.

I saved their number in my phone and ring them and pretend to be a telemarketer. they have barred my number now.

Optus is at it again with the ringing and the hanging up! I immediately rang back and sure enough, an optus rep answered and said they would have been ringing to do a survey. I explained to him that if they wanted to do a survey why did they hang up!! He couldn't answer that! I told him to take note of my phone number and not to ring me again. This is the second call in 4 days from them so huffing and puffing is not making any sort of an impact. I am with Optus and told them that I would happily take my landline and mobile elsewhere if they rang me again. LOL, they couldn't care less I expect. Who can I report this to?

Called my mobile and hung up as soon as I said hello.
