She said she’s Melbourne.. already I saw an issue because I’m in Aus too so would have shown as 03 number so be careful because I copied the number exactly to research but no scam sites registered the number because it comes up on search with 61 then repeats so I deleted that and put just the 03 in. And here we are. So I just called back.. I know not to call the one ring ones back because of that scam but this one I spoke to. It’s disconnected. Makes me furious but I’m smarter now to smell a fake after the daily occurrence. She wanted me to confirm my name.. where are you from she said.. I don’t know who you are so I’m not confirming anything. You’re xxxxx first and last name right? She got it correct but I said I still don’t know why you’re calling. You’ve met the criteria for cheaper rates for your electricity.. where are you from? You electricity provider United.. something.. Indian accent which gets uncomfortable to keep asking to repeat because I couldn’t understand. I said you’re not my provider.. we are head office.. have you got an email about the discount on your next bill? No I haven’t. Ok so how can I send it to you? Oh I’ll wait for my provider to tell me. No these are government incentives so just making sure you get it. Where can I send. Email? Post? No thanks, I’ll discuss with my provider.. you’re address is xyz right? She was right.. only I moved from there 4 years ago.. I said no I’m not interested in a knee provider because I’m in a complex that has to use the provider I have. Just take a look she said.. no thanks and I hung up. Geez.. they will do anything to get personal info.. angry I let it go but next time I’m going to listen to myself.. ask there name and department.. hang up and call back versus waste what’s now 30 mins!!!
