I have received numerous calls - sometimes 2 - 4 times per day - The first caller advises that " from now on you will receive 28% discount when you pay on time " - they confirm your name, address and energy supplier - mentioning the most popular - 50% ? chance of guessing it correctly - then asks a few questions > Are you the authorised person - are you over 18 - how long have you been with the supplier - do you have gas - do you have solar panels - do you have anybody in the household using medical equipment.
They then ' introduce ' you to their supervisor who then repeats all the questions - this person then 'introduces you to their manager who again repeats the questions - " we have to confirm " - the manager then requests your Medicair card # and or Drivers Licence # > I say " before I give you those details could you please send me an email or letter advising the deal and about yourself etc.+ requesting my info. - They tell me a long story why they cant or wont or are " no obliged to do so " - I tell the manager that it isn't an obligation, its just that I wont give anyone personal information over the 'phone when I have no idea who I am dealing with - he says "you are not dealing with us > you are dealing with the energy company - we are just comparators and we will send this information to the energy company for the discount deal we make for you and then we / they will send you the information" - i.e. AFTER the deal has been made !

I don't want anybody - esp. someone I don't know - making a deal with another party on my behalf and that cancelling a contract is awkward / messy - the manager argues endlessly and I tell him that " with respect, everybody, such as yourself is entitled to do business the way they wish, that a legitimate business would not have a reason to decline my request for written information and that I am also entitled to do business the way I wish and since they are not prepared to send me a letter or email I do not wish to do business with them / their way.
Despite numerous requests I could not get the manager to say YES or NO.to sending me a letter or email.
I have gone through this many times - I have invited them to contact me if they change their mind re not providing the requested information in writing BEFORE CONCLUDING THE DEAL and otherwise not to call me again - but they keep contacting me with the same story. I cant say this is a scam - I just don't know - but its a strange way to run a business.

I called back number (03) 8080 5479 reached IVR for a company called Hottest Offer.

Block this number. They are 100% scam artists. Do not call back just block the number straight away. They are doing some seriously illegal sh*t.

I answered they hung up

i swore lots on the 6th call in one day. they were hard to unndestsnd as well indian call centre full of attitude. ive reported them for harrasement to telstra and police

I got call me many time not answar

They said they will give me discount on my electricty bill and asked if I have gas bill. I misheard them, I thought they are from my utility provider. When asked again, they said Hottest Offer, I just hung up! Scammers!

This number is relentless ... 3-4 times a day ... have told them to get me off the list, etc ... PLEASE STOP, it's really annoying !!!!!

Wish they would leave me alone

Called me at 6:30, I called back- got no answer the machine msg said office hours are until 6pm... wtf, you just called me at 6:30!!! Went through the voice msg process of going on their do not call list. We’ll see if that was legit or not.

they never give up

I have been called around 4-5 times a day now for the past few days and it's getting ridiculous. further, when I ask them to stop calling, they have accused me of being rude for not listening to their offer. they're absolutely full of it.

Please stop these harnessers. We are a business and these people are interrupting and costing us money.
