I wish I had googled this before. I don't know how we can stop them. I have totally been caught in the scam. We recently purchased a business and took over the phone line in April, the previous owner advised he wasn't with Telstra and I was led to believe that this was the company as they knew all my details. They do talk extremely fast and on my recording you can hear me say you'll have to speak up. I'm trying to cancel this line and they want to charge me $250 and are threatening that they will not release the number if I don't pay. They say it was a verbal agreement for a 12 month contract. I rang their dispute line and got no where.

Very dishonest. They managed to transfer my service from Telstra to them. Send me an invoice and if I did not pay they would cancel my landline. I did not pay as I never consent them to transfer my services, they cancelled my phone line and we could not do business as usual for a week until we could get Telstra to get our line back. Tried to solve the issue but they were very rude! Polotel is a dishonest company.

Don't give this company the time of day, they are not fair dinkum, they claim they are acting for Telstra and are authorized to offer a discount on Telstra landline accounts. When they ask you to confirm there offer, it is apparent they intend to sign you up with a verbal contract to there telecommunication company. On checking Telstra have not given them any authority whatsoever

Was an unlisted number on my mobile, but after 5 minutes I found they were not legit Telstra. Really pushy. Really rude. I had to hang up as they (two levels in the call) would not take no for an answer. I gave them my business email. The realised they should have already had that when he said his name was "Harry Osborne"

Rude and ignorant. Tell lies and can't speak English clearly. Need to be shut down like most other telemarketers and scammers
