Pricks got me. They lied and said that v4 who I was with first had shut down and that I had to sign over to polotel. They spoke fast as sh*t and I wAs busy and just kept saying yep yep. After answering a million questions they then transferred me to some other department and I had to go they the same sh*t over again. Then I received a hefty bill from v4 for breaking my contract. V4 rang and said they were still in full function and after I explained what happened they waived my fee. Then I got a hefty bill from polotel for breaking there contract !!! Which I won't be paying after I replied to the email with a few profanities. Absolute scum.

Extremely rude and ignorant. Speak with super fast speed and don't even listen to what I said. So rush and pushy. They misled me about all application form send from head office (in fact no one did). They lie a lot.
Doggy company, don't know how they got our company details and names of the people working there. No one deal with them before.

It is sickening to read about so many other people being scammed by PoloTel. My mother who lives by herself was the victim. She mentioned to me she received a call from a telephone company. I asked her if she had given them any personal details and as far as she could remember, 'no'. A month later, she receives a phone bill from PoloTel. I have reported this to TIO (telecommunication industry ombudsman) stating that she did not sign up with PoloTel and we don't want to pay the bill. They are currently looking into it. In the meantime I have called PoloTell. They agreed to send me the recorded message to prove that she had agreed to signing up with them. I've listened to it and my stomach turned. The guy talking to my mother spoke so fast, I could hardly understand him. He was asking questions and forcing a yes from my mother. My mother speaks very broken English so she hardly understood what he was saying. She just wanted him to get off the phone and kept saying 'yes' rather than just hanging up. In listening to the entire recording, unknowingly, she did agreed to signing up with them. Everything about this company stinks. Their phone bills don't have a tally of phone calls that have been made, their website has spelling mistakes throughout it and the phone number on there email signature is wrong. And to top it off the recording was sent to me without even verifying who I was! Shut this company down PLEASE. Tell has many friends as possible to run the other way when they hear the word "PoloTel"

Very unhappy, i was scammed by these fools, extremely unprofessional company, rude & pushy. They have caused me stress as i currently dont have a phone connection due to bad weather in my area 1 month ago.
I have made the time now to merge to another company (other than telstra) as that is where they got my details from. I told them i no longer want thier services and i was told i am locked in for 24months unless i pay $350 cancellation fee.
Please i urge anyone considering this company to STAY AWAY!

Tried to claim that I'm going to get a discount on my phone bill because of NBN even though there is no NBN in my area... hahaha. Complete scam.
Wanted me to give my email address so he could spam me there too.
I googled Polotel while he was talking to me and there are no legitimate companies called Polotel. I asked "Who do YOU work for" and he replies "We are working on behalf of Telstra. I said "No, who do YOU work for?". 5 times I had to ask before he told me Polotel.

Indian man asked to speak with the owner of the business. I said "this line is for customers only" and he said "but you don't understand, it's about your ABN." I said "bad luck, I told you this line is for customers only." He became aggressive, I laughed, he hung up.

NEW UPDATE ON THIS NUMBER *NEW SCAM*
They are now using a new way to bait customers by saying that people should be "upgrading the phone due to NBN", or else their phone will be disconnected.
I got angry and hung up, as I knew it was a fake. Then they called back and got mad at me for hanging up.
When asked where they were from, they simply said they're from "NBN" which makes no sense.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL FOR THE NBN SCAMMING EXCHANGES.

They ring the company I work for on a weekly basis (sometimes numerous times per day). As soon as they ask for the business owner, I know it is them. I refuse to put them through, and on more than one occasion have told them to stop calling.

After refusing to accept thier offer, they had someone call me pretending to be from Telstra, advising that it was cheaper for telstra if small business like mine went to companies like them, and better for us as well as we will get a cheaper rate. When I enquired with Telstra, no-one there was aware of Polotel.
Lets see how the ACCC handels this one.

I have had the same experience since last Friday when I took a call from Polotel. They profess to be a Telstra reseller and use Telstra technical support. They offered me a deal which undercut Telstra. I told them I needed to check whether I was still under contract with Telstra and asked them to call me next week. They pursued me all weekend and called me 20+ times whilst I was in the country.
I wish I had checked this post before I had even consented to talk to them.

THEY ARE EXTREMELY PUSHY!!! BEWARE!!!

"SCAM ALERT" The company Polotel did not have our permission to take the telephone over, however they did, and the first we knew of it , we got a phone call saying they were going to cut our service if we didn't pay the account immediately. We never ever received an account until after his phone call, and it was sent by email, They had our Home address but never sent a paper A/C. We immediately transferred back to Telstra. We never authorized the transfer to them. BE AWARE! Thieves are around us.
