Spam/scam call from (03) 7074 8060 (brief silence, then transferred to call centre). Only answered because I was expecting a call, I usually send unknown numbers direct to voicemail. When I asked who they were, he said he was calling 'on behalf of your electricity supplier, for a government rebate'.

Extremely insistent to the point of rudeness when I told him I was on the do not call register so probably they had a wrong number. Insisted number was right. I asked to remove my number from their database and I hung up on him still trying to talk about this 'offer'!

I will be reporting also to ScamWatch as in these types of scams they try to lodge rebates on your behalf and keep the money.

Block the number if you can (iphones make it too hard to block numbers now).
