Tried to call this number back and is apparently disconnected 2 mins after a missed call

I live in Qld so any call from Melbourne is suspicious already. My message bank states that unless you leave a message I will assume you are a scammer and will block your number. No message left. Plenty of other people have registered this number as spammy. Blocked.

Recorded message. Asking about mortgage. I just hung up!

I didn't answer. No voicemail left.

All I heard was Goodbye and it hung up

I'm assuming it's a scam call. Having a huge number in recent weeks from 07 (Qld) and 03 (Vic) numbers. Everytime I block, they just call from another number. This is the latest number used. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voicemail. Google searches and it appears it is a scam caller. Won't be returning the call.

Caller: Allegedly "Australian Research Centre"

Obnoxious Robocall. Most likely used for data harvesting/phishing or some other kind of scam. Called and was briefly silent for a few seconds after I answered, then a recording of a female voice with Australian accent Began. The recorded message said "This is xxxx (Jess? I didn't catch it but it's irrelevant anyway as the whole thing was BS, and a scam.) from the Australian Research Centre". I asked "Are you a bot? to confirm it was just a recording and no person was on the other end, and the message simply kept playing, confirming it was indeed a spammy robo-called recording. The generically named, non existing 'Australian Research Centre'. There is no such 'centre' without having a further qualifier such as "For human evolution" "For aurospace automation" or other similar qualifier/description. Reported as spam/scam, blocked.

Best to BLOCK numbers from 03 as their coming in daily. Always GOOGLE phone number if mobile number not recognized for your Privacy & Safety.

Caller attempted to obtain information without valid need to do so. Goodbye.
