They called saying they were Gmail and were investigating access to my Gmail. Sounded like a phishing call.

re upgrading fibre to house with Ultra Fibre Optic. Wanted me to access speeds via anydesk.com then wanted me to download from another website and transferred to 'technician' to help. I hung up at that point. Scam - refer NBN Co scam information page.

Claimed to be from Telstra, wanting to discuss "my internet"

Called twice in same day (8/4/24 Monday) 2.22pm + 4.44pm. I have voicemail/message bank and they did not leave message on either occasion. I guess they didn’t want me to call back. I suspect it was spam. I don’t know anyone from (03) area code.

Indian lady telling me she was calling from CBA then hung up. 2.30pm

Left a voicemail saying they were from DHL and my package was soon to be returned

Indian lady calling said she's from Telstra. Then hung up on me

Said they were calling about my internet being used 'for illegal activities', causing it to be slow. It was well timed for them as my internet was slow & I was waiting for Telstra to get back to me. However, the 'technician' couldn't tell me my name and was talking over me when I asked questions. Thick Indian accent.

Said that an unauthorised amount was deducted from my PayPal account ....press 1 , 2 or 3 for their different options.

I didn’t answer and no voicemail message was left.

Called this morning claiming to from the NBN. They wouldn't speak after I challenged them.

I mean... sure... probably a scam, but is the reference to the "African accent" (big place for one accent) needed or even relevant?

Told me they will upgrade my internet speed as they had received complaints from this area code about slow internet speed.

Sounded like a scam, a lady with a strong African accent
