Caller: Scam - said racq

SCAM! Had my name and said he was calling from «my insurance company - told me Racq (i am not with them) about an accident i had with my car a while back. He kept saying «cos you had an accident a while back right?». I asked for the details (even though I knew this was a scam) and he tried to bait me saying «the one you reported and had a while back». I told him I had no accident, that I would be reporting this. He hund up before I even finished the sentence. Will also report this to racq

Caller (in heavy Indian accent): We've been notified about the accident you had a while back.
Me: When?
Caller: In the last year.
Me: If you've been notified, you must know when it happened.
Caller: In the last two years.
Me: What company are you calling from?
Caller: Your insurance company.
Me: What's the name of my insurance company?
Caller (after long pause): RACQ?
Me (laughing): You'll have to do better than that. Which company?
For some mysterious reason, he hung up...

Had a call from this number said something about being in an accident - which I did a few weeks ago - but he gave me the wrong insurance company- I am Indian myself and the caller was from India too - so gave him the best peace in his language 😀

Guy calls said I had an accident. I told him yes I did (even though I didn’t). Told him that I died in that accident and if he can help me get a message to my loved ones. He promptly hung up. …. This I have found is the best way to deal with these clowns

I didn't answer the call as I didn't recognise the number. Glad I didn't after reading all the comments on this page. I am so over the amount of phone calls and texts that I am (& so many others by the sound of it) receiving. They are relentless!! I feel sorry for the elderly and vulnerable that fall for these scams!

My mobile detected it was a "Suspected Scam" call. I did not answer.

Like the others on here. Guy tried to talk to me about car accident I had been in. I know I haven't been in one, so I asked "when are you scamming c****s going to get a real job". He hung up.

Called back - disconnected. Spam.

I didn't even bother answering. Forget 03 numbers now. Everything from Victoria is poisoned. Fish rots from the head.

Called back. Response - Optus advises that the number has been disconnected. So it must be a scam attempt

Hung up on answering. Possible wrong number or Robo call. Do not answer.

don't worry, down here in VIC, we get scam calls from QLD and NSW numbers all the time.. every I time I see a 07 or 02 number I'm like.. not again lol

They keeps calling about an accident I had apparently?!

Had this Indian flog call me, knew my name saying I had a prang and needed to discuss the matter. Told him that I needed to get the crash details I had written down (I did not have any accident) left him there for about 3 minutes.

Came back, said I can’t find the details of the other driver who was in the Delorian, but left me a card from 2037 saying will talk to me when I get to that year.. he hung up

Asking about a car accident, when I said No she hung up

Had received this call several times. Im not even located in the same state. After reading the comments here, had blocked the number!

I almost fell for this as I actually had an accident recently and my head is foggy from the flu - but as soon as they said ‘the incident wasn’t your fault, yes?’, I got my back up. They were claiming to be from the ICWA (I’m in VIC) and that I had some money I could claim - which would have been the TAC in any case…

Had a call from this number saying I had a recent car accident which was untrue. Scam call.
