Caller: Scammer Hate to tell all you other posters but these morons aren’t actually calling from the numbers showing on caller ID. They just use computers and VOIP and disguise their identity with old disconnected phone numbers. So don’t blame poor old Telstra or Optus or do not call registers for failing to shut them down. They are simply criminal scum hoping to catch unsuspecting victims and steal assets and identities. Just keep cancelling them and warn EVERYONE you know - especially the vulnerable trusting people who may fall for their evil lies - to shut them out.

Caller: Scammers These people have absolutely no respect whatsoever for the DO NOT CALL register. What is the point in even having a Register if the Government doesn’t fine those that ignore it So much for the apparent “on shore” call centres.

I’m receiving dozens of calls from 7067 5123, 5127 and 5129 … I block them all but they still get through … getting pissed off! What is Telstra doing about this?

Caller: Possible scammer Caller: free in-home display unit – Victorian government initiative
Call centre. Indian sounding male - missed his name calling from Green something unintelligible. Called about free in-home display unit for electricity – a Victorian government initiative. FYI, There is such an initiative called the VEU - Victorian Energy Upgrades so I cannot guarantee this is a scammer. The reasons I am flagging as a scam call. : Caller used my first name and asked if I still live in Victoria at a post code I haven't lived at for 8 years. The contact list is allegedly a public list according to the caller. I advised it is out of date and that I am on a do not call register. He (surprisingly) politely thanked me for my time and disconnected. Normally the phone just goes clunk when you ask a question or advise of do not call status.

Scam Call. An Indian sounding gentleman with the name of Robert said was calling about the federal government's solar rebates. I thanked him for the call and hung up.

Unknown number so didn’t answer. Voice mail left. No speaking but sounded like a child in the background before it disconnected after a couple of seconds.

Caller: Telemarketer Despite telling them that I have already owned the energy monitor, I still received multiple miscalls from this number and it’s adjacent number ranges.
