Received a call asking if I had ALREADY received my free device from the Vic Government. As always it was so hard to understand what he was saying. Several times I asked him to slow down and repeat what he was saying. In the end I just hung up. Realised what he was saying after I read the above comments!

Claimed to be calling from “Victorian Energy Upgrades” and sounded very dodgy. Loud call centre background. Seems to be flogging a power saving device.

Someone rang wanting to speak with Amelia (twice) - advised them that there's noone with that name here. Same number tried calling but did not leave voicemail.
Similar number called me today (ending in 5 rather than 6) as I blocked original number, again looking for Amelia. I recognised voice and told him to stop calling.

I signed up for a free device from Victorian Government. It attaches to your smart meter and sends data to your phone to monitor energy usage.
This is NOT a scam caller

Terrible call. Straighaway called my name and address, and pushing to send a person to install device on my meter. When I asked who she was, she declared that she was from Victorian government. -- complete bullsh*t.

And she insist to send people to my home. When I told her I am not home, she said the guy just came over to install device on my meter, not entering my home.

When I pointed out this is really scary, she just hung off the phone off without any words

Trying to get people to sign up for a free power monitoring device. Real product, works fine, but called me twice within one minute and also called my wife.

Block the number if you don’t want to be bothered.

They don't have my updated address and hung up only to find out if I've got a power saving device. Wow, revenge of the call mob. Sounds like a scam rather than a genuine call.

Only 2 rings, then it hung up. No message left. If the number is not on my contact list, don’t answer. They called at 6:15 pm from “Melb, Vic” given the 03 and 7 prefix, hoping to get me around dinner time. But I live in WA so that didn’t work. Other posts suggest the call is for a free power monitor. This may be true but the device is only free for Victorians.

I didn't answer. They left no message. If they were legit they would have left a message. I don't answer numbers I don't know anymore.
